I came to Cardigans with considerable dog background.  I am a dog groomer who started showing airedale terriers in 1978.   I finished 27 champions (23 homebred) including one of the top producing sires six years in a row, multiple specialty winners, multiple group placers and two nationally ranked number one bitches.  During this time I also finished three Welsh terrier bitches.  A short venture into Sporting dogs resulted in three Pointer champions including one specialty winner.

The Airedale and Welsh Terriers are all gone now and I have only one spayed Pointer.  In more recent years my interest has turned to breeds with less grooming than terriers.

I have finished five Shiba Inu champions including two group placers.  In Dachshunds I have finished three champions (2 smoothes and 1 longhair) and all are specialty winners.

My first Cardigan came from my longtime friends Dotty DeBeck and Nancy Cunliffe.  Nanertak Suncliffe Pamiyok (Thelma) has produced two champion children and another daughter is proving to be very valuable in the whelping box.   I also bought and finished the very nice blue merle dog Ch. Coedwig's Blu  Sky Over Vermont from Kim Rauber.

Several young hopefuls will be shown this year.  They are from Coedwig the blue merle bitch "Copy Kat Crime" and the black and white male "Spanish Oaks Coedwig Stetson;" from Karen Lyons the brindle "Percy" and "Amy" son Woodrose Whirlwind; and the homebred "Sky" daughter blue merle "Blackdale Trick or Treat."
